The Mind of the Illustrator/Writer:
Steven D. Smith

This exhibit was a look into the mind of the illustrator and writer Steven D. Smith. With images taken right from his sketch book we get to see the beginning thoughts of ideas in the development stages. Many had stories already developing or near completion, a few were just ideas with an idea for a story.

Art @ Work Exhibit

This exhibit was in conjunction with our Gala Night with Friends Event and exhibited a wide range of art at work on many levels.  Several of our students put up a display of art at work that shows how art becomes a career. Some of our artists displayed their work that have been made into note cards for sale and is art at work supplementing income. While others displayed work that was art at work healing the spirit of the artist.

2011 Young Artists Exhibit

Edgar Allan Poe

Poe Prints Exhibit 2011

In conjunction with the Young Auditorium and the Big Read (a National Endowment of the Arts initiative) we hosted a Poe Prints Workshop and Exhibit.  Participants in the workshop learned about mono printing and created prints inspired by Poe's writing.  A call to artists brought in a few more pieces inspired by Poe for the Exhibit.  Also on exhibit were the winners of the Young's t-shirt contest in which students in grades K-12 could create a Poe inspired design for a t-shirt.

2010 Peace Quilt
This unique camp is designed to assist children ages 5-10 to grow in their understanding and skills in building a more peaceful world.  The camp was held at Cravath Lakefront Center in Whitewater.
Campers learned cooperative games, peace making skills and conflict resolution.  To share their ideas about peace, they came to Studio 84 and created the Peace Quilt, using images of peace and placing handprints around the earth to symbolize the importance of helping, sharing and peace around the world. The camp was sponsored by St. Patrick Catholic Church, St. Luke Episcopal Church, Whitewater Parks & Recreation and The United U & U Society of Mukwonago.
